I'm back from France and Switzerland!

Wowsers it was a beautiful trip - lots of beaches, lots of sun, lots of blue water, lots of mountains, lots of lakes, lots of green grass, lots of wine, lots of beer, lots of crepes, lots of bratwurst, lots of cheese fondue, chocolate, gelato, amazing pizzas, sunsets, souvenirs, more chocolate, bungee jumping, baguettes, nutella, paninis...  the list goes on.

food-oriented?  you bet i am!  pics will be going up soon.  stay tuned for more.

back from CAMP PHOENIX

*song with motions*
weinie weinie weinie weinie on a bun bun bun
pass the ketchup woo ha ha
*repeat*

that's been in my head all day today!

had an awesome time this weekend. beautiful weather, beautiful camp site, great campers, awesome counselors. the best part of course was the arts and crafts (guess who led that one i saw the kids off at around 5 pm and woh. silence is such music to my ears.

slept in the 50-degree weather. but i had 20-rated sleeping bags so i was all warm and fuzzy. there's nothing like hiding in a warm bed on these chillin morns. will find some pics to put up soon. for now, back to my silly take-home exam re. alcohol abuse and patient adherence.

I decided today that I complain too much.  Classes are boring; lectures suck; weather's too hot; it rains too often; there's too much work; i'm bored; the small group discussion leaders are awful; my room is too small; i have too much furniture; the air is too humid; the food is too salty; the elevator is too slow; my poker hands are too crappy; my wallet is too thin; the construction outside my window is too loud; new york is too crowded; people are too unfriendly; patients don't listen; blah blah blah blah blah

but then, i realized, isn't complaining about my complaining too much an oxymoron?  so then i shouldn't complain about my complaining, right?  but then if i don't complain about my excessive complaining, doesn't that mean that i in fact don't complain that much? there ya go.  problem solved.

seriously, though -  now that it's all out of my system, i will face each day with my true ol' optimism.  good morning america - here comes the new me.

So bored!

I've got an exam on Monday, but I can't seem to settle down and study.  Bleh antibodies.  Blah macrophages.  Boo viruses.  Beh parasites.

I've finally put my Cairo pics on the web.  Check it out at

I'm BACK!

well sort of.  Gino MSN'ed me and called for my return.  Since I know how good he is with matches and lighters, I decided that it was probably in my best interest to say a few words here.

Med school sux right now.  Well, the classes do anyways.  I'm skipping a 2-hour lecture at the moment, cuz i know i would be much more productive on my own.  In fact, I got my hair cut and am almost done with laundry.  Productive procrastination, I call it.  Interesting thing is though - look in my class, and you'll find that more than a third of the class is missing.  Another quarter is sleeping.  A fifth is eating.  A sixth is chatting.  A seventh is reading magazines.  What does that add up to?  I have no idea - i think more than 1?  O well.  We're the future of American Health Care!  And yes, feel free to refer yourself AND your friends to me.  I'll be sure to take extra good care of you.

So how've all you beautiful peeps been doing?  Give me a shout when you get a chance!
